Painting Update (Week of September 25-October 1)

This week the painters have been able to complete the entire back side of the building despite a few delays.  They were able to begin power washing zone 3 on Thursday and finished that section today.  The painters have decided to not work this weekend due to the weather, so we’ll all have a break from the noise and mess for the next couple of days.

The painters will begin work again on Monday, October 2, 2017.  Their plan is to begin patching and caulking the windows in zone 3 which includes stacks 10, 09, 08, and 07.  Residents in those stacks will not need to close the windows for the prepping process.  It is hard to say how long this will take, but they will begin painting after that.  I expect that the painting will not begin until later in the week or the following week.  When the painting does begin, residents in zone 3 will need to keep their windows closed while the painters are spraying.  The painters will also be covering and masking the windows for this process.

If the weather is rainy on Monday, October 2, 2017, the painters will continue to power wash the rest of the building which means the residents in stacks 06, 05, 04, and 03 will need to close their windows on Monday.  Any air conditioners, plants, window decorations, etc. will also need to be removed.  Since this is tentative on the weather, I would suggest keeping an eye on the forecast for Monday.  If you are concerned about what to do, I would suggest removing these items from your windows and closing them before you go to work just in case.

I would like to remind everyone that these schedules are all tentative and will depend on how long each process takes and what the weather does.  We thank you for your cooperation and patience.

Just to recap if there is No Rain on Monday, October 2, 2017, the painters will begin prepping zone 3.
If there is Rain on Monday, October 2, 2017, the painters will continue to power wash the rest of the building which would include stacks 06, 05, 04, and 03.
